Happy What I Ate Wednesday! I've gotten such great responses to the foodie photos I've been posting lately, including many comments that, hey, maybe "Paleo" isn't so scary after all!
For this reason, I'm going to try to photograph my food more often, so you can see that Paleo eats are not really unpalatable as you might think. Granted, I'm not a Paleo purist, but I do eat real foods that are Paleo- or Primal-approved. Below is what I ate today, and if you like what you see, you can also follow me on Instagram and Twitter to see even more good eats and inspiration.
You can also check out the Paleo tab above to see some previous informational posts, meals, recipes, and reviews.
So now for a brief WIAW: Started off my day with...
Breakfast
Lunch was my go-to quick-and-easy "Tangy Tuna" mish-mash.
Evening snack: ... grazing.
Nori
Pine nuts
"Chewy Almond Bar" from Hu Kitchen, soon to be my favorite place in NYC.
Late Dinner:
Not so bad, right? Bet you even forgot that it's all so-called "Paleo." ;)
This month's WIAW theme involved "Spooky Snacks". Although I wasn't doing anything Halloween-focused, hope I proved that Paleo doesn't have to be "spooky" at all.

That's what I ate! What did YOU eat?

Ohhh how was that almond bar?? I totally loved those chickpeas I got. They kept for full until dinner!!
ReplyDeleteSO great meeting you :) Hope your week is going fantastic!
Loved it. Give me figs and I'm a happy girl :) So great meeting you, too! Had a great time. I'll be sharing about that later this week.
DeleteI've never been to big on portobello burgers, but yours looks absolutely delicious!
ReplyDeleteTurkey burger looks yummy!
ReplyDeletemmm i love the paleo options... and the paleo tab! yay! thankssss! (:
ReplyDeleteMMM YUM! I must admit I have never thought to eat broccoli for breakfast, but why not?!?
ReplyDeleteYep! Seems out of place on the side, but it's more typical to see broccoli in an omelet or in a quiche, say, at a restaurant's brunch. Same difference :)
DeleteThe tangy tuna mish mash sounds great! I'm a big tuna fan :)
ReplyDeleteAll looks pretty darn good to me, paleo or no! But I'm a health dork, so all the good "paleo" stuff like fresh veggies and eggs? Of course they're yum! And sauerkraut, ohhh yeah. Right time of year for it too with all the Oktoberfests going on around.
ReplyDeleteHah definitely good point about the kraut. And yeah, I'm the same. Fresh, real foods, and I'm in!
DeleteLove all your meals! Coconut eggs are my favorite! I have them almost every morning!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking lately of trying the Whole30. Have you written/read anything about that aspect of Paleo?
ReplyDeleteThat turkey portobello slider is cute. And it looks really delicious to eat! :)
Yes! I reviewed the book that prescribes the Whole 30 here: http://dareyouto.blogspot.com/2012/08/ItStartsWithFood.html
DeleteAnd I report on my very first 30 solid days of Paleo eating here:http://dareyouto.blogspot.com/2012/04/pretend-youre-paleo-for-30-days.html
If you give it a try, please let me know how it goes for you!! Email if you have other questions about it.
Cool. Thanks!
DeleteCoconut eggs? I'm gonna have to investigate.
ReplyDeletePerfect eggs!
ReplyDeletetooo tooo too much popcorn :-)
